Kansleri Cookie Consent vs. GDPR Cookie Compliance (Moove)

By Tapio Kauranen (opens in a new tab) · Updated 28 October 2026

GDPR Cookie Compliance by Moove Agency has over 300,000 active installs. It is a free plugin with a Premium add-on, and it keeps everything in your WordPress database.

The main differences

  • What is blocked. According to Moove, the plugin only restricts the scripts you set up in its settings. Tracking that a theme, page builder or other plugin adds is not held back unless you move it there. Kansleri Cookie Consent recognises common trackers wherever they are added, including tags that Google Tag Manager adds.
  • Video embeds. Moove’s iframe blocker is Premium. Kansleri Cookie Consent blocks YouTube and Vimeo for free.
  • Consent log. Moove’s log is Premium and stores the IP address. Kansleri Cookie Consent’s log is free and stores only a keyed hash, never the IP address.
  • Cookie scanner. Moove has none. Kansleri Cookie Consent scans your site.
  • Both support Google Consent Mode v2 for free and work with WPML and Polylang. Neither is a Google-certified CMP.
  • you prefer to paste and manage every tracking script yourself in one place
  • you want trackers held back automatically, wherever they come from
  • you want a scanner, video blocking and an anonymised consent log for free
