Kansleri Cookie Consent vs. CookieYes

CookieYes has over a million active installs and works in two ways. Without an account, its settings stay in WordPress, but there is no cookie scanner and no consent log. Connected to a CookieYes account, the scanner and the log run in the CookieYes cloud.
The main differences
- A traffic limit on the free plan. With an account, the free plan covers 5,000 pageviews a month. According to CookieYes, the banner is switched off when the limit is reached, until you upgrade. Kansleri Cookie Consent has no limits.
- Branding. The free CookieYes banner shows “Powered by CookieYes”; removing it needs the top plan. Kansleri Cookie Consent shows no branding.
- Where your data is. CookieYes keeps the scan results and consent log in its cloud (EU). Kansleri Cookie Consent scans and logs inside your WordPress.
- Certification. CookieYes is a Google-certified CMP and offers IAB TCF on its Pro plan and up. Kansleri Cookie Consent is not certified and has no TCF.
Choose CookieYes if
- you need a certified CMP with TCF for AdSense or Ad Manager
- you want a hosted dashboard and auto-translated banners, and paying per domain is fine
Choose Kansleri Cookie Consent if
- you want no pageview limits and no branding in your banner
- you want the scanner and consent records to stay in your own WordPress
