Kansleri Cookie Consent vs. Cookie Information

By Tapio Kauranen (opens in a new tab) · Updated 28 October 2026

Cookie Information is a Danish consent management platform. It is a cloud service with plugins and scripts for many platforms, WordPress among them.

The main differences

  • Price. Cookie Information has no free plan, only a 14-day trial. Plans start from €19.50 a month per domain. Kansleri Cookie Consent is free.
  • Where it runs. Cookie Information needs an account; scanning and consent storage happen in its cloud, on EU servers, with consents kept for up to five years. Kansleri Cookie Consent runs in your WordPress and keeps consents in your database for 13 months.
  • Certification. Cookie Information supports IAB TCF. It advertises itself as a “Google CMP Partner”, which is a different designation from Google’s certified CMP list; it is not on that list. Kansleri Cookie Consent has neither.
  • Platforms and languages. Cookie Information covers many platforms and more than 40 banner languages, managed in one place. Kansleri Cookie Consent is for WordPress only.
  • you manage many domains or platforms centrally and want a vendor with a support contract
  • your site runs on WordPress and you want consent handled there, for free
