Kansleri Cookie Consent vs. Complianz

Complianz is one of the most used consent plugins for WordPress, with over a million active installs. Like Kansleri Cookie Consent, it runs inside your WordPress: consent data stays on your own server and you need no outside account.
The main differences
- Google Consent Mode v2 is a Premium feature in Complianz. In Kansleri Cookie Consent it is free, in both Basic and Advanced mode.
- Consent records per visitor are also Premium in Complianz; the free version keeps a proof of your consent settings. Kansleri Cookie Consent keeps an anonymised record of every choice, with CSV export, for free.
- Complianz is a Google-certified CMP and offers IAB TCF in Premium. Kansleri Cookie Consent is neither. If you show personalised AdSense or Ad Manager ads in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you need a certified CMP.
- Complianz Premium also writes legal documents, such as a privacy statement, disclaimer and imprint, and covers several regions with geo IP. Kansleri Cookie Consent focuses on cookie consent and gives you an AI prompt for the policy text.
Choose Complianz if
- you show personalised ads through Google’s publisher products and need a certified CMP with TCF
- you want legal documents generated for several regions, and paying for Premium is fine
Choose Kansleri Cookie Consent if
- you want Google Consent Mode v2 and consent records without a paid tier
- you want every feature in the free plugin, with no Premium version to upgrade to
