Kansleri Cookie Consent vs. Borlabs Cookie

By Tapio Kauranen (opens in a new tab) · Updated 28 October 2026

Borlabs Cookie is a premium-only plugin. It is not on WordPress.org and has no free version or trial. Like Kansleri Cookie Consent, it runs on your own WordPress server and sends no visitor data to the vendor.

The main differences

  • Price. Borlabs Cookie costs from €49 a year plus VAT for one site, with every feature included. Kansleri Cookie Consent is free.
  • Certification. Borlabs Cookie is a Google-certified CMP and includes IAB TCF. Kansleri Cookie Consent is neither.
  • The scanner in Borlabs Cookie uses the Borlabs Service in the cloud and needs a valid licence. Kansleri Cookie Consent scans inside your WordPress.
  • Both block scripts, support Google Consent Mode v2, keep consent logs and work with WPML and Polylang.
  • you need a Google-certified CMP with TCF in a plugin that runs on your own server
  • a yearly licence fee is fine for you
  • you do not sell ad space with AdSense or Ad Manager, and want the same core features for free
